Title: Nothing Short of Wondrous
Author: Regina Scott
Publisher: Fleming H. Revell Company
Series: American Wonders Collections, Book #2
Publication Date: October 20, 2020
Nothing Short of Wondrous is an enjoyable historical romance set in 1886, and the government has granted control of Yellowstone Park to the United States Cavalry as tourism is heightened. Kate Tremaine is thankful for the newly protected order of the area. She owns a hotel nearby, and she is busy working and raising her six-year-old son. While Lieutenant William Prescott arrives, she agrees to act as a guide as he explore the vast wilderness area.
Throughout their new working agreement, Kate and Will deal with protecting the park and romance in the air between them. However, their potential relationship is hindered by his past and unknown future, as well as a major disaster requiring a rescue. Also, this interesting historical romance story is interlaced with Christian values and lovely nature descriptions of Yellowstone.
Even as the second book in the American Wonders Collection series, it's easily read as a standalone story. Historical romance readers will be interested in the first book set in 1871 featuring the Grand Canyon.
Nothing Short of Wondrous is a pleasant and interesting Christian historical romance book that's highly recommended.
