Yes Sisters: Surrounding Yourself with Women Who Affirm, Encourage, and Challenge You is an encouraging and inspirational book written by Angelia L. White with Erin Keeley Marshall.

As the title indicates, this book is focused on surrounding yourself with Yes Sisters, and these are women who affirm, encourage, and challenge you throughout life. The author includes personal experiences and stories from other women about finding and developing Yes Sister relationships and also how to be a Yes Sister for other women. In addition to focusing on positive and encouraging relationships, this book shares how to deal and even distance yourself from negativity.

This book features twenty-one chapters, which are divided into three main sections, titled as Part 1: Yes to Believe, Part 2: Yes in Action, and Part 3: More of Yes. Also, there are additional sections, including one titled as What Is a Yes Sister?

In every chapter, there is highlighted section listed as A Word from a Yes Sister. According to the page 13-14: A Yes Sister is "a woman in your circle who believes in you, who offers encouragement, insights, love, and wonder.... She makes you feel alive and sometimes has more confidence in you than you have in yourself. Her words and presence stir your soul toward greatness."

Yes Sisters is a positive and encouraging resource for women, and it's geared towards various ages, from young adults to older generations.

Note: I received this book from Revell Reads, which is a program designed for bloggers to write book reviews in exchange for books, yet the opinions expressed in this review are my own.
