Title: When Money Goes on Mission
Author: Rob Martin
Publisher: Moody Publishers
Publication Date: March 5, 2019
When Money Goes on Mission: Fundraising and Giving in the 21st Century is a comprehensive fundraising and giving book written by Rob Martin with the Foreword by Brian Fikkert.
With over twenty years of experience, the author shares his methods and helpful advice to build effective ministry partnerships for fundraising and giving towards missions. Also, it features practical ways to build strong relationships between fundraisers and donors, properly craft a vision for donors to appreciate and follow-up, and how donations and giving has changed in recent years.
According to the back cover, "Imagine fundraisers who pursue excellence in ministry, trust God, and communicate authentically, clearly, and confidently. Imagine generous givers who extend trust to worthy fundraisers, evaluate proposals in a way that honors God, and make significant kingdom impact. Then imagine them coming together in joyful, healthy, trust-filled relationships."
This book is divided into four main parts, which are titled as Communing: Surfing the Wave of Twenty-First Century Mission, Drawing Each Other into Communion, Leadership and Money, and Giving and Receiving: Finding Transformation in Transaction. The four main parts are divided into fifteen chapters. Also, there are additional sections titled as Foreword, Introduction, Acknowledgements, and Notes.
When Money Goes on Mission is a helpful fundraising resource that's geared toward various ages, from young adults to older generations, particularly those fundraising for missions or giving towards mission funding.
Note: I received this book from Moody Newsroom, which is a program designed for bloggers to write book reviews in exchange for books, yet the opinions expressed in this review are my own.
