Praying the Promises: Anchor Your Life to Unshakable Hope, by Max Lucado and Andrea Lucado is focused on God's life-changing promises.
This hard-cover book is divided into thirty chapters, as well as additional sections titled as Introduction and Notes. The main chapter text relates biblical stories with modern-day correlations and stories. Also, each of these chapters include Promises From God scripture passages, Praying God's Promises prayers to mediate upon, and confirmation statements. Each chapter may be utilized during as a personal bible study or as a group study with friends or church bible studies.
This book is written by one of my favorite non-fiction authors and his daughter, whose books are new to me, yet I'll add to my reading wish list. According to the Introduction: "For every problem in life, God has given us a promise. When struggles threaten, we can find hope by praying those promises.... We do not need more opinions or hunches; we need the definitive declarations of our mighty and loving God. He governs the world according to these great and precious promises."
