The Theory of Happily Ever After, by Kristin Billerbeck is an entertaining contemporary women's fiction book.
Dr. Maggie Maguire is a serious scientist and best-selling author with a focus on happiness. However, her fiance (who happens to also be her colleague) decides to breakup with her...and marry someone else.
The end of her engagement leads Maggie to a mini-breakdown. In order to cheer her up, Maggie's two friends arrange plans for a lovely cruise, which surprisingly includes Maggie working as a guest speaker and promoting her book. While on the cruise, she encounters a man with a challenge that smart women can't ever be happy, which leads to various situations.
This book is filled with quirky characters, witty dialogue, and outlandish adventures. I recommend reading books by author Kristin Billerbeck.
The Theory of Happily Ever After is geared towards those who enjoy reading modern women's fiction with clean romantic storylines and plenty of humor.
Note: I received this book from Revell Books, which is a program designed for bloggers to write book reviews in exchange for books, yet the opinions expressed in this review are my own.
