Book Review: Your 100 Day Prayer

Your 100 Day Prayer: The Transforming Power of Actively Waiting on God, by John I. Snyder is an interesting and unique devotional book.

According to  page xiii, "This book is intended as a guide to your own 100-day prayer, where you will bring your issue before God every day for this 100-day period.  Each entry begins with a passage from Scripture and ends with a brief preparation for prayer for that day.  After your prayer, you can enter any thoughts, notes, or insights as God reveals them to you in your personal time with him."

This book is divided into sections, including The Power of Persistence, The Silent Heaven, When God Says No, and God of the Last Minute.  There are one hundred devotions...one per day for one hundred days.  Each daily devotional contains a scripture verse, devotional text, a prayer, and space for notes, which is titled Today's Progress.

Each devotional is two pages in length, so this book may easily be added to your current quiet time, or it's a great way to start setting aside time each day to spend with God.  Your 100 Day Prayer is an ideal devotional for any age, from teenagers to older generations, and it's recommended to use in a group setting for prayer accountability and encouragement.

Note: I received this book from Book Sneeze, which is a program designed for bloggers to write book reviews in exchange for books, yet the opinions expressed in this review are my own.
