Book Review: One Fine Day

One Fine Day (Hazel Green #1)

One Fine Day, by Cindy Kirk is a contemporary romance story, and the first book in the Hazel Green series.

Abigail Fine was a surrogate for her best friend, Jonah Rollins, and his wife. However, her surrogacy led to motherhood, when Jonah and his wife abandoned their unborn child. Abigail was devastated with her best friend's reaction and following choices, yet she's determined to care for this baby as her own.

Five years later, Abigail and Jonah reconnect, when he moved to her new town. She's hesitant to allow Jonah access to her little girl, yet he's desperate to be a part of his daughter's life, as well as a part of Abigail's new life. Jonah and Abigail are dealing with their past history and have to sort out their trust issues within their friendship, before pursuing a romantic relationship.

Plus, the little girl is such a sweet addition to the story!

One Fine Day is geared towards those who enjoy reading contemporary second-chance and friends-to-relationship romances.

Note: I received this book from NetGalley, which is a program designed for bloggers to write book reviews in exchange for books, yet the opinions expressed in this review are my own.
