Book Review: Tranquility

Tranquility: A Prayer and Reflection Coloring Journal serves as a creative outlet and a way to spend time with God.

This journal includes scripture verses, prayers to contemplate and meditate, spaces provided to draw and write, and more than 100 designs to color. According to the Introduction, "Let this experience take you to a greater level of connection with God. Suggestions are added along the way to further inspire you in this time of quiet reflection and prayer. Don't worry about the end result; let God lead the way as you allow yourself to fully experience, tranquility."
Tranquility is a part of the Living Expressions Collection, which "was born out of a desire to meet the growing demand for these products," as stated in a promotional brochure. And it "blends the simple pleasures of relaxing and unwinding with easy-to-understand Scripture from the NLT, life-affirming devotions, and prayers that come from the heart. Our promise to readers is a myriad of meaningful moments spent savoring Scripture through activities that allow for creative release, reflection, and deeper connection with God."

It's a wonderful resource that's ideal for personal devotional time, as well as relaxing and meditating. This book is geared towards a variety of ages, from middle school students to young adults to even older generations.

"Your peace would have been like a river, your well-being like the waves of the sea." Isaiah 48:18b

Note: I received this book from Tyndale Blog Network, which is a program designed for bloggers to write book reviews in exchange for books, yet the opinions expressed in this review are my own.
