Book Review: 50 Devotions for Busy Days

Jesus Calling: 50 Devotions for Busy Days

Title: 50 Devotions for Busy Days
Author: Sarah Young
Series: Jesus Calling for Teens
Publisher: Thomas Nelson
Publication Date: January 29, 2019

Jesus Calling for Teens: 50 Devotions for Busy Days is written by Sarah Young, adapted by Tama Fortner, and edited by Kris Bearss. This teen devotional book focuses on peace and perspective during busy times.

As the title indicates, this book features fifty devotionals, as well as full-color photographs and highlighted scripture verses to potentially memorize and ponder upon daily. As an individual study, this book encourages the reader to set aside time each day to read this devotional and pray.

This topical study is designed to help teenagers manage busy days by incorporating God's peace into their lives. According to the Introduction, the author shares, "The devotions in this book are meant to be read slowly, preferably in a quiet place--with your Bible open. Spending time with Jesus will prepare you to get through this busy day successfully."

Also, this book is one of three books in a series for teens. The other two books are called Jesus Calling for Teens: 50 Devotions for a Thankful Heart and Jesus Calling: 50 Devotions to Grow in Your Faith

50 Devotions for Busy Days is an ideal book to give as a gift.  It's recommended and geared towards younger readers, particularly junior high and high school students, yet other ages will enjoy this book, too.

Note: I received this book from Book Look Bloggers, which is a program designed for bloggers to write book reviews in exchange for books, yet the opinions expressed in this review are my own.
