Book Review: Inspire Bible for Girls

Inspire Bible for Girls NLT

Title: Inspire Bible for Girls
Version: New Living Translation (NLT)
Publisher: Tyndale House Publishers
Publication Date: August 7, 2018

Inspire Bible for Girls: The Bible for Coloring and Creative Journaling is a New Living Translation (NLT) version, which is designed to help children, particularly girls, to learn and gain a deeper understanding of the Bible.

The Inspire Bible for Girls is considered a special edition version, which is based on the Inspire Bible.  This copy of the Bible features the full text of Old and New Testaments, and the Biblical text is in 8.65-point font with larger font featured throughout the additional sections.

It includes over 500 illustrations to color, more than 300 devotionals and prayers prepared for girls, over 160 journaling prompts, as well as 64 key scripture verse pages for memorization and coloring and 64 fun facts highlighting each book of the Bible. Plus, the design is very lovely and creative.

According to the back cover copy: "Learn to walk more closely with God as you color, journal, and creatively express your faith, God has a very special word for you whenever you open and read your Bible.... Your creative journaling BIble is a place to write out your heartfelt prayers to God, record your reflections about Bible passages you have read, scribble journaling entries or questions you have, and get creative in the margins with your worshipful response to God."

The Inspire Bible for Girls is designed to hopefully encourage children to read their Bible more often and have a deeper understanding of what they are reading. This particular Bible is recommended and geared towards young girl readers, particularly third to seventh grades.

Note: I received this book from Tyndale Blog Network, which is a program designed for bloggers to write book reviews in exchange for books, yet the opinions expressed in this review are my own.
