Book Review: You Never Forget Your First Earl

You Never Forget Your First Earl (The Worthingtons, #5)

Title: You Never Forget Your First Earl
Author: Ella Quinn
Series: The Worthingtons, Book #5
Publication Date: May 29, 2018

You Never Forget Your First Earl, by Ella Quinn is an intriguing historical regency romance primarily set in London with a focus on the continent.

Geoffrey the Earl of Harrington desperately needs a wife to seal his promotion at a prestigious position in Brussels. Unfortunately, the lady that he targeted as the perfect wife is now engaged to someone else. While restarting his wife-hunting search, he encounters Lady Elizabeth Turley.

Initially, Elizabeth is interested in Geoffrey, yet she's hesitant since he was recently pursuing her dear friend as a wife. Most of their courtship is random games and inadvertently interviewing each other, while their relatives and friends constantly interfere and disrupt them. As the story continues, Geoffrey and Elizabeth's friendly courtship quickly becomes serious, since he's on a limited time schedule with his position abroad.

Since it's the fifth book in The Worthingtons series, it's recommended to start with the first book to meet some of the meddling friends (and read their romance stories). However, it's not necessary to read the books in order, since this book reads as a standalone.

You Never Forget Your First Earl is geared towards those who enjoy reading historical romances.

Note: I received this book from NetGalley, which is a program designed for bloggers to write book reviews in exchange for books, yet the opinions expressed in this review are my own.
