Book Review: Paint Watercolor Flowers

Paint Watercolor Flowers: A Beginner's Step-By-Step Guide

Paint Watercolor Flowers: A Beginner's Step-by-Step Guide, by Birgit O'Connor is an inspiring and educational art book focused on watercolors.

Throughout this book, there are lovely illustrations intermixed with step-by-step guides and techniques for painting watercolor flowers. According to the Contents page, this book has five main chapters, which are titled as Getting Ready to Paint, Basic Watercolor Techniques, Understanding Color, Designing Strong Compositions, and Lessons and Demonstrations in Watercolors. Also, there's an emphasis on the following flowers: Daffodils, Orange Cactus Flowers, Hibiscus, Tree Peony, Rhododendrons, Sunflowers, Calla Lilies, Orchids, and Apple Blossoms.

Paint Watercolor Flowers is an enjoyable book to add to your library collection, since it's geared towards all ages and especially recommended for those interested in art.

Note: I received this book from NetGalley, which is a program designed for bloggers to write book reviews in exchange for books, yet the opinions expressed in this review are my own.
