The Air I Breathe: Worship as a Way of Life is written by Louie Giglio, who is considered the founder of the Passion movement, which has continued to unite college-age young people since 1997. This inspirational book is focused on learning how to let every breath you take be an act of worship, as well as a daily part of every aspect of life.
According to the back cover copy, "Worship is more than singing on Sunday morning. While that's part of it, worship is the essence of what makes us truly human.... True freedom comes when worship flows through us as naturally as the air we breathe, when the words and actions in our lives resonate with our Creator so deeply that every inhalation is full of meaning."
It's divided into eleven main chapters, including the titles of That Thing We Do, Something More, Why Worship Matters, What God Wants Most for You, Joining the Ranks of True Worshipers, For Who He Is, for What He Does, Worship as a Way of Life, Through Jesus, All the Time, Lips and Lives, A Personal Path to Worship, and Moving Beyond Me, to Us. Also, there are additional sections, which include My Thanks, Questions for Group Discussion, and Quotation Sources.
The Air I Breathe is geared towards generations of all ages, particularly young adults, interested in delving more in freedom through worship and understanding God in a deeper meaning.
Note: I received this book from Blogging for Books, which is a program designed for bloggers to write book reviews in exchange for books, yet the opinions expressed in this review are my own.
