Uncommon Type: Some Stories features a collection of seventeen short stories, as the debut novel by Tom Hanks.
These stories vary, yet they are intriguing, heartfelt, and entertaining. Also, several of the stories include a typewriter theme. Some of my favorite short stories include Three Exhausting Weeks, Welcome to Mars, Steve Wong Is Perfect, and The Past Is Important to Us.
I preferred some stories more than others, yet I highly recommend reading (or listening to) this book. The audiobook version is read mostly by the author, which is a special bonus for fans of Tom Hanks.
