The Five Love Languages of Children, by Gary D. Chapman and Ross Campbell is focused on discovering how to speak your children's love language in a way they will understand.
It's based on their bestselling book, The Five Love Languages, which promotes learning how to build a lasting love for couples. However, this book focuses on parents and their children, by providing detailed information about the five love languages, as well as practical ways for parents to learn to speak these love languages, particularly their child's individual love language.
The five love languages are considered Acts of Service, Gifts, Physical Touch, Quality Time, and Words of Affirmation.
According to the Introduction, "Every child has a primary language of love, a way in which he or she understands a parent's love best. This book will show you how to recognize and speak your child's primary love language as well as the four other love languages that can help you child know you love him or her. As we will see, your child needs to know he is loved in order to grow into a giving, loving, responsible adult."
This book is divided into twelve chapters: Love Is the Foundation, Love Language #1, Love Language #2, Love Language #3, Love Language #4, Love Language #5, How to Discover You Child's Primary Love Language, Discipline and the Love Languages, Learning and the Love Languages, Anger and Love, Speaking the Love Languages in Single-Parent Families, and Speaking the Love Languages in Marriage.
There are additional sections titled as Introduction: Speaking Your Child's Love Language, Epilogue: What Might Be Is Still Ahead, Notes, and More Help for Parents. Also, it includes the Love Language Mystery Game for Children, which helps determine your children's love language.
The Five Love Languages of Children is a resource for parents, grandparents, guardians, teachers, and others working with children.
