Book Review: A Night Away

A Night Away is a captivating paranormal romance novella by Carrie Ann Ryan.

After two years, Kade Jamenson is still in love with his mate, Melanie, yet they don't have any personal time together. With the Central wolf pack raging war against the Redwoods, Kade and Melanie are focused on keeping the pack safe, as well as raising their adorable baby son, Finn, who refuses to stop screaming and crying throughout each day...and every night.

As new parents, Kade and Melanie need a break with at least one night away together, and the Jamenson family offers to help with the unlikeliest of all volunteering to babysit. It's a delightful glimpse into the lives of Kade and Melanie, and the interactions between the Jamenson brothers is quite entertaining.

Since it's a novella set between the third and fourth books in the Redwood Pack series, it's best to start with the first book, An Alpha's Path, which introduces and features the two main characters in A Night Away. Also, this is a completed book series, yet various characters are included in the corresponding (and currently on-going) Talon Pack series.

A Night Away is recommended and geared towards those who enjoy reading paranormal werewolf romances.

Note: I received this book from the author, who provided reissued copies for bloggers to write book reviews in exchange for books, yet the opinions expressed in this review are my own.
