Book Review: Impact for Living Men's Devotional

The One Year Impact for Living Men's Devotional: Daily Coaching for a Life of Significance is a devotional book by Scott Whitaker and Nathan Whitaker. The books in The One Year series are considered "do-able daily devotions."

According to the back cover: "All of us have been created by God for impact--a unique impact in this world. But too often we're distracted from the eternal significance of our actions by the more alluring paths of power, wealth, image, and status. This daily devotional will help you to focus on your eternal legacies--what you can do each day when you understand your God-given purpose, potential, passion, and platform." And each devotion features one of the words--purpose, potential, passion, or platform--at the top of the page.

Each daily devotion includes the date, title, scripture verses (or occasionally an inspirational quote), devotional text, and Impact Application, which features statements and/or questions to contemplate and put into action. Since the devotions are listed by date, it's ideal to start this devotional on January 1, yet readers may easily start the devotional at any time throughout the year.
The One Year Impact for Living Men's Devotional is geared towards men of various ages, from young adults to older generations. With one devotional per page, this book is a great way to start setting aside a few minutes each day to read and reflect on the Scriptures or it's ideal to supplement into on-going personal devotional time.

Note: I received this book from Tyndale Blog Network, which is a program designed for bloggers to write book reviews in exchange for books, yet the opinions expressed in this review are my own.
