Book Review: High Sierra

High Sierra: The Range of Light, by Fred Weyman is an travel photography book.

According to the book summary: "The Sierra Nevada Mountain don't easily reveal their treasures, but this photographic compilation, the result of over thirty backpacking trips in the remote high country.... The painstakingly crafted compositions demonstrate how light can determine the way one sees and remembers a landscape. Musings about the Sierra Nevada by naturalists, mountaineers, and writers, including John Muir, Norman Clyde, Jane Wilson Howarth, and Jack Kerouac, complement the arresting photography."

High Sierra features interesting landscape photographs of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. This book is geared towards various ages, from young adults to older generations, and it's especially recommended for those interested in photography travel books.

Note: I received this book from NetGalley, which is a program designed for bloggers to write book reviews in exchange for books, yet the opinions expressed in this review are my own.
