Book Review: Dust of My Wings

Dust of My Wings is part of a unique paranormal romance series, called Dante's Circle, written by Carrie Ann Ryan.

Lily Banner and her six best friends love to hang out at their local bar, Dante's Circle, which is owned by another friend. While at the bar one evening, a serious thunderstorm causes the lives of Lily and her friends to supernaturally change forever. However, the new supernatural abilities are only uncovered after each finds their true half.

As a lab tech, Lily discovers a strange blue dust to test, which inadvertently leads her to Shade Griffin, a warrior angel, whose job involves protecting other angels and dispensing justice. With orders from the angelic council, Shade is trying to prevent any repercussions involving the blue dust, which causes him to lie to Lily. While Lily is dealing with her new triggered powers and learning of Shade's secrets, their new relationship struggles.

It's the first book in the Dante's Circle series, which provides an introduction into this supernatural world and the newly changed lives of seven human friends. Also, it's a completed book series, so all seven books and several novellas are currently available to read.

Dust of My Wings is a fun story with suspense and intrigue. It's geared towards those who enjoy reading paranormal romances, particularly stories involving warrior angels and unique magical beings.

Note: I received this book from the author, who provided reissued copies for bloggers to write book reviews in exchange for books, yet the opinions expressed in this review are my own.
