Book Review: Princess Bible

The Princess Bible is an International Children's Bible (ICB) version, which is designed to help children, especially girls, learn and gain a deeper understanding of the Bible. It also includes a free Princess Bible Coloring Book with two pages of full-color stickers.

In the Preface, it states, "The International Christian's Bible is not a storybook or a paraphrased Bible. It is a translation of God's Word from the original Hebrew and Greek languages. It is the first translation of the Holy Scriptures prepared specifically for children." Also, the Preface explains about ICB biblical translation, as well as discusses the meanings of A Trustworthy Translation and A Clear Translation.

This hardcover copy of the Bible features the full text of Old and New Testaments, and the Biblical text is in nine point font. Other sections include the Preface, Key Verse Highlights, Dictionary, Where Do I Find It, What God Promises About, and Memory Verse for My Life.

Throughout this princess-themed Bible, there are additional pages of full-color Bible study guides with key memory verses. These pages are titled as the following: Why Should I Read the Bible, How Do I Know Jesus Loves Me, Bible Verses to Know, Knowing Jesus Better, How Do I Pray, How Do I Forgive, How Can I Let God's Love Shine Through Me, How Do I Study the Bible, The Names of God, The Miracles of Jesus, The Disciples, and Kids in the Bible.

Also, there are interactive pages, such as My Family History and My Favorite Bible Verses, as well as the Bible Time Line and full-color maps. These maps are titled as the following: Abraham's Journey, The Desert Wanderings, Jesus' Last Week in Jerusalem, and Palestine in Jesus' Life.

The Princess Bible is designed to hopefully encourage children to read their Bible more often and have a deeper understanding of what they are reading. This Bible is recommended and geared towards young girl readers, particularly first to seventh grades.

"All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching and for showing people what is wrong in their lives. It is useful for correcting faults and teaching how to live right." 2 Timothy 3:16

Note: I received this book from Book Look Bloggers, which is a program designed for bloggers to write book reviews in exchange for books, yet the opinions expressed in this review are my own.
