Book Review: Goodnight, Manger

Goodnight, Manger is a children's book written by Laura Sassi and illustrated by Jane Chapman. Within twenty-five pages, a version of the Christmas story is retold in a unique way with baby Jesus trying to sleep for the night.

According to the back cover, "It's bedtime for Baby Jesus, but who knew a stable could be so loud? Between itchy hay, angels singing, and three kings knocking--Mama still finds a way for everyone to work together to shepherd Baby into peaceful dreams under the twinkling stars."

This board book is easy to read in one storytelling session. Goodnight, Manger is an cute children's book with fun illustrations, which is geared toward toddlers and preschoolers.

Note: I received this book from Book Look Bloggers, which is a program designed for bloggers to write book reviews in exchange for books, yet the opinions expressed in this review are my own.
